Veteran actor Emeka Rollas emerges the new AGN president to lead Nollywood
Veteran actor and once household name in Nollywood movies Emeka Rollas has emerged the new AGN president to lead the pack of leading actors and actresses into the fresh age of a stronger Nollywood.
Following the unending fiasco and the litany of accusations regarding financial impropriety that surrounded the former AGN president Segun Arinze , not forgetting the constant spats he apparently seemed to always have with Emeka Ike, the need for a change at the helm of affair was just only a matter of time to actualize.
Rollas emerged the new president after a heated contest and a close call on the votes which he garnered 81 as opposed o his opponent Ibinabo Fiberesima who garnered 76 votes.
It’s a new chapter for the industry and hopefully it will also come with a wave of improvements and cultured discipline for the content that has lost a bit of value lately with the infusion of so much substandard material.
