Omotola joins bandwagon of celebrities getting verified on Twitter
Almost a week ago, we discussed at length the influential role of social media in today’s media landscape and how leveraging the various existing and emerging platforms was a good thing for celebrities in connecting with fans, and promoting their brands.
Playhouse Communications provided very insightful numbers about the trend for current Nollywood stars and Omosexy as she is affectionately called had amassed a total of 727,963 followers of Facebook and 75,893 on Twitter leading the pack as the celebrity with the most Social Media followership. Her thrust for more connection has received another boost after Twitter formerly verified her account. Hopefully more celebrities will follow suit.
