Highly acclaimed movie “Mr and Mrs” set to be released in the United States
Award-winning and critically acclaimed movie, Mr. and Mrs. s set to be released on DVD for home entertainment. The movie which enjoyed favorable media appraisals while in the theatre has already been released in Ghana and Nigeria and scheduled to be released in the United States during the first week of September.
Commenting on his decision to release the movie at this time, the producer had this to say:
“The success of Mr and Mrs. at the cinemas was tremendous and I have been getting requests from people asking that they will like to see the movie again, and I actually think the time is right for a DVD release.”
Mr& Mrs. is a story of a couple whose marriage is threatened by age old economic and social divisions in the society. It tells the story of Susan Abbiah (Nse Ikpe-Etim), a lawyer who is holed up in a marriage that has been engulfed with issues from differences in the social strata. Her husband, Kenneth Abbiah (Joseph Benjamin), a rich son of a Senator is bent on not letting the world know of his wife’s background and decides to keep her in the kitchen where he believes she belongs.
On the other hand, is another couple Linda and Charles played by the duo of Thelma Ojiji and Paul Apel, who seemingly have a perfect marriage until Linda begins to take her husband for granted because she takes care of all the bills in the home. Mr and Mrs. was produced by Chinwe Egwuagu and directed by Ikechuwku Onyeka.
